School Policies
Children have the right to be safe and protected, including at school. Mount Alexander College is, and always has been, committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. We see this as our legal and moral obligation.
As a child safe school committed to zero tolerance for child abuse, we welcome and are enthusiastically meeting the new child safe standards mandated by the Victorian Government to further protect children.
The school policies provide a framework for all students to feel that they are in a safe learning environment that respects and tolerates the diverse community. The policies are a strategic link between the day to day operations of the school, our values and our vision. The school’s policies are aligned with the Department of Education Child Safety Standards and these are regularly reviewed and ratified.
