Camps
The school provides an extensive camp program for all students.
Entry level students attend a camp early in the year as a way of getting to know each other and assisting with the transition from primary school to secondary.
There are also combined year level camps during the year including interstate camps and overseas tours to countries such as Italy, China and Papua New Guinea (as part of the Kokoda Trek). We have established a sister school relationship in China recently and are looking forward to enhancing that relationship, and creating a similar arrangement in Italy. MAC has been involved with the Kokoda Trek for over 1o years.
The school also provides opportunity for students of all year level to attend a variety of camps with the purpose of developing skills in our young people. Some of these are the Advance Program (as a part of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award), a writer’s camp, community development experience, and leadership camps.
