School Houses
Students are placed into one of the four school houses when they begin at Mount Alexander College. The houses provide students support with their education and life goals. Students are encouraged to participate in a range of fun and academic activities throughout the year and earn points for their houses. Houses are responsible for school activities including school assemblies. Trophies are awarded to houses for events and activities throughout the year. At the end of each year the house with the most points wins the house cup which is presented at the Awards Night.
The houses, which formed in 2016, are:
- Apollo House (God of Music and Healing)
- Artemis House (Goddess of Animals and Wilderness)
- Athena House (Goddess of Wisdom and Peace)
- Poseidon House (God of the Sea).
The house names were chosen from the Greek Gods by the 2016 students, and the house logos were designed by 2016 student, Jamie Rodger.
